The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and school property. This includes monitoring premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents in line with school policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Patrol school grounds and monitor security cameras.

• Control entry and exit points for students, staff, and visitors.

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.

• Maintain daily security logs and incident reports.

• Assist with crowd control during school events.

• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed.

• Ensure compliance with child protection and safeguarding policies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; security certification preferred.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in security, preferably in an educational or corporate setting.

• Knowledge of security systems and emergency procedures.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong observational and communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Integrity and confidentiality.

Work Conditions:

• Shift-based work, including evenings and weekends.

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
