Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Commis III Chef to support our corporate office canteen during night shifts. As an essential part of our overnight kitchen team, you will assist in late-hour food preparation, uphold stringent cleanliness protocols, and ensure impeccable standards of hygiene and operational efficiency.
Assist the overnight kitchen team in preparing late-night/early morning meals, including Ethiopian and European dishes.
Wash, peel, and cut ingredients efficiently during night operations.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness, organization and sanitation of workstations throughout night shifts.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items for overnight inventory control.
Support night shift stock management and promptly report low inventory to supervisors.
Strictly adhere to hygiene, food safety, and HACCP protocols during unsupervised hours. Assist in plating and presentation to maintain consistency for overnight service.
Lead pre-service setup and post-service clean-up for night operations. Work exclusively on scheduled night shifts.
Requirements
COC Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Food Preparation or equivalent culinary certification. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in kitchen/food preparation roles Advanced understanding of food handling, kitchen safety, and overnight workflow management.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision during night hours. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
Team-oriented attitude with eagerness to learn from senior chefs. Strong communication skills and disciplined adherence to instructions. Reliability and punctuality for night shift commitments.
