ENT Specialist
Designation: ENT Specialist (Otolaryngologist)
Reports to: Medical Director

The ENT Specialist will diagnose and treat conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, and associated structures of the head and neck. This role involves both medical and surgical management, addressing a wide range of sensory and functional disorders.
Clinical Duties:
Conduct comprehensive examinations of the ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck structures.
Diagnose and manage a variety of conditions, including hearing loss, sinusitis, tonsillitis, voice disorders, dizziness, and head/neck tumors.
Perform surgical procedures such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, tympanoplasty, and endoscopic sinus surgery.
Provide emergency care for conditions like epistaxis, foreign body removal, and airway obstruction.
Interpret audiograms and other diagnostic tests.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical and surgical records.
Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of specialized ENT equipment.
Educational Duties:
Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
Stay updated with advancements in otolaryngology through continuous professional development.
Minimum Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) degree from a recognized institution.
Specialization in Otolaryngology (ENT).
Valid professional license by the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA) or equivalent regulatory body in Ethiopia.
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable post-specialization experience as an ENT Specialist.
Proficiency in common ENT surgical procedures.
Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
