LESSO ETHIOPIA PLC would like to hire qualified applicants for the following position:

• Senior Cost and Budget Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting:

• Analyze production costs, overhead, and variances.

• Maintain and update standard costing system.

• Conduct cost-benefit analyses.

• Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budget preparation process.

• Develop and monitor operating budgets and capital expenditure plans.

• Work with department heads to align budgets with strategic goals.

• Provide periodic forecasts and identify variances between actuals and budget.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Prepare detailed management reports (budget vs. actual, cost trends, etc.).

• Support decision-making with financial modeling.

• Ensure accurate financial data for audits and compliance.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).

• Support internal and external audits.

• Improve financial controls related to budgeting and cost tracking.

Collaboration:

• Liaise with operations, procurement, and finance teams.

• Support business units with financial insights.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.

• 5–7 years of experience in cost accounting and budgeting.

• Strong knowledge of Peachtree/ ERP systems

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
