Job Description

The Sales Operation Coordinator at East African National Distribution Share Company  is responsible for coordinating and streamlining communication and operational alignment between the head office sales team and factory-based operations in Lemi and Ensaro at National Cement Lemi. This role monitors production, inventory, dispatch, and customer orders to ensure operational efficiency, timely delivery, and accurate reporting. The Sales Operation Coordinator supports the sales team, liaises with logistics and sister companies, and contributes to the company’s overall goal of maintaining high customer satisfaction and operational excellence in cement and construction materials distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Coordination & Communication

    1. Act as the primary liaison between head office sales and factory operations.

    2. Facilitate seamless communication of production, inventory, and dispatch updates.

    3. Ensure alignment of operational activities with sales plans and targets.

  2. Operational Monitoring & Reporting

    1. Monitor production, inventory levels, and dispatch schedules.

    2. Provide timely operational reports to the Sales Operations Manager and Head of Sales.

    3. Identify and flag operational challenges, collaborating with logistics and sister companies for resolution.

  3. Customer & Order Management

    1. Handle customer inquiries regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product availability.

    2. Provide accurate pricing updates and ensure order confirmations are communicated promptly.

  4. Logistics Coordination

    1. Track truck availability and coordinate dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

    2. Collaborate with dispatch teams to ensure execution of delivery plans.

  5. Sales Support & Administration

    1. Assist the sales team with administrative tasks including performance tracking, reporting, and documentation.

    2. Maintain accurate operational records and data reporting.

  6. Process Improvement & Collaboration

    1. Support continuous improvement initiatives within sales and operations processes.

    2. Foster collaboration across departments to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales coordination, logistics, or factory communication roles.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency in operational reporting, data tracking, and process monitoring.

  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments is a plus.

  • Experience in cement distribution or related industries preferred.
