VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country.

VisionFund MFI is currently looking candidates to fill the vacant position of Driver I for West Regional Operation Office based at Furi, Sheger city. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

1. Terms of Employment: Permanent

2. Salary: As per the Institution salary scale 

3. Closing Date: August 22, 2025

Major Responsibilities

1. Safety

• To safely drive vehicles to transport personnel and good;

• Conducts vehicle security checks such as brakes, tires, lights, horn and other necessary accessories before driving vehicle;

•  Places protection padding around goods and materials to prevent damage during transit.

        2. Operation 

• Drives vehicle to transport personnel and goods to destination;

• Takes all preventive measures to ensure that passengers and property are not exposed to accident;

• Submits daily report on mileages covered, fuel consumption and other necessary details;

• Ensures the safety of accessories and tools;

• Reports road accidents to supervisor in timely bases / within 24 hours;

       3.Maintenance 

• Performs minor repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, spark plugs and fan belts.

• Washes, cleans and greases assigned vehicle;

• Follows up and arranges the service and maintenance of assigned vehicle;

Job Requirements

• Grade 10 Complete + 3rd Grade driving License & 2 years of relevant experience form recognized organization.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic rules.

• Basic knowledge of auto mechanic.

• Ability to conduct security checks and inspection on vehicles.

• Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.

• Interpersonal skill.
