The Project Coordinator reports to the Executive Director

The project Coordinator is one in the senior position with the overall responsibility to technically and administratively coordinates projects activities.  The position holder ensures EBCCF to fulfill its donors and government requirements. Holder of the position supports the Executive director of EBCCF in fund-raising project implementation and to ensure sustainability.

Duties and responsibilities

Specific

• Support the Executive Director in developing initiatives with proactive and innovative ideas in project implementation, monitoring and reporting within timelines;

• Prepare project proposals to solicit financial resources on objectives of the Forum;

• Prepare manuals on relevant thematic activities to enhance sustainability;

• Participate to enable EBCCF to be strong strategic partner to the donors and implementers;

• Undertake feasibility studies, fund-raising appraising design, and negotiation with the donors, the government and partners;

• Lead the progress of quarterly, biannual and annual reports (both activities & financial) for submission to respective donors, government & internal use;

• Conduct field visits to project sites to provide technical backstopping, monitor work progress, add-vales to projects of our strategic partners or others;

• Undertake regular monitoring of projects followed by evaluation to check whether or not the objectives are met;

• Monitor projects to ensure budgets paid based on Terms of Reference;

• Review annual workplan and budgets of the projects in our responsibilities;

• Take minutes of the staff and board meetings;

• Be efficient by working full-working hours a day;

• Undertake any other activities related to the above

Job Requirement

Qualification, experiences and minimum requirements

• Minimum MSc degree either in Agrobiodiversity and Seed System, Biodiversity Management, Crop Breeding, Climate Smart Agriculture and other related fields with Agronomy background;

• Minimum of 7 (seven) years relevant work experiences;

• Mature personality, result oriented, problem-solving attitude, ability to work independently;

• Time conscious and duty conscientious;

• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated individual ability and in teamwork;

• Strong project planning, budget estimation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting skills;

• Proven communication of written and spoken English;

• Good knowledge of excel sheet to prepare activities and their corresponding budgets;

• Good knowledge at preparing power points and present them to audiences;
