Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to computer systems, software applications, hardware peripherals, and network connectivity.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems reported by users, using established procedures, diagnostic tools, and technical knowledge to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Resolve technical issues promptly and effectively, either through remote assistance, software configuration, hardware replacement, or escalation to higher-level support teams, ensuring minimal disruption to users' productivity.
Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the help desk ticketing system, ensuring accurate and detailed records of user interactions and technical issues for future reference and reporting purposes.
Provide basic training and guidance to users on IT systems, software applications, and best practices to enhance their understanding and proficiency in utilizing technology resources effectively.
Assist with user account management tasks, including user provisioning, password resets, access permissions, and account permissions, following established procedures and security protocols.
Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems on users' computers, ensuring compatibility, compliance with licensing agreements, and adherence to organizational policies.
Perform basic hardware maintenance tasks, such as equipment setup, installation, and troubleshooting, as well as coordinating repairs and replacements with hardware vendors and IT technicians.
