At-Con Engineering & Architecture Consultancy Plc., a well-established and reputable consulting company based in Addis Ababa, is engaged in the design and supervision of civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems, and other infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking One (1) highly motivated and skilled Senior Highway Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of proven experience in the design and supervision,  for Dire Dawa Phase One (1) Free Trade Zone Expansion Project. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review highway design and drawings in compliance with applicable standards.

• Geometric Design of all roads for intersecting roads and junctions as per the appropriate design standard. 

• Parcel and Grading Optimization with detailed earthwork computation. 

• Site Design and Structure Design, including Quantity Estimation. Designing Retaining Walls and other road protection works.

• Designing Surface and underdrains where appropriate 

• Pavement Markings and Road Furniture Design and Schedule.

• Pavement Design Report with Typical Drawing for all Road networks.

• Prepare design report and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients for effective project execution.

Place of Assignment

• Addis Ababa, with possible site visits to the project site.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc Degree (or higher) in Highway Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in highway/road design.

• Proven experience in highway design projects, with specific experience on design free trade zones, dry ports, industry parks or related projects.

• Proficiency in highway engineering software (e.g., Civil 3D, MX Road, AutoCAD, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of international and local design standards.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
