Job Description

The Regional Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to drive brand visibility, sales growth, and market penetration for National cement products within Ethiopia. This role involves working closely with sales teams, distributors, retailers, and key accounts including contractors to ensure effective product placement, promotions, and demand generation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and implement regional trade marketing plans aligned with national objectives.

- Design and execute in-store merchandising, POS (Point of Sale) materials, and trade promotions.

- Identify market opportunities and develop campaigns to increase brand preference and sales.

2. Channel & Retail Management:

- Strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, and key contractors.

- Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and branding at dealer outlets.

- Train and motivate trade partners (distributors, retailers, masons) on product benefits.

3. Sales & Marketing Collaboration:

- Work closely with the regional sales team to align trade activities with sales targets.

- Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.

- Provide market intelligence and feedback to the central marketing team.

4. Budget & Performance Management:

- Manage the regional trade marketing budget efficiently.

- Track and report on the ROI of trade marketing initiatives.

- Analyze sales data to measure campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.

5. Brand Activation & Events:

- Organize trade fairs, dealer meets, and contractor engagement programs.

- Implement B2B and B2C marketing initiatives to drive demand.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA is a plus.

-Experience: 5+ years in Brand building, trade marketing, or brand management, preferably in FMCG, construction materials, or cement industry.

Skills

- Strong negotiation & relationship management.

- Analytical & strategic thinking.

- Proficiency in MS Office & marketing tools.

- Excellent communication in Amharic & English

(local language proficiency is a plus).

- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
