You are required to meet the following:

1. Construction Project Coordinator 

Department: Engineering Services.
Reports To: Engineering Services Department
Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Full-time

The Construction project coordinator is responsible for managing design and construction-related cases, which includes follow up of design works by the architect, assessing situations, gathering information, and coordinating with various parties to resolve issues. He/she duties can range from initial assessment and investigation to drafting outcomes and ensuring compliance with regulations. They often work within a team, prioritizing cases, and communicating with clients and stakeholders. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain close relations with the architect to facilitate timely submission of planned design stage documentation. 

• Make regular visits to the architect’s office to report that all agreed assignments are in place and work is being carried out as planned. 

• Follow up all unfinished municipal matters and expedite response to new requirements. 

• Analyzing construction site incidents, reviewing relevant documentation (e.g., blueprints, contracts, safety reports), and conducting investigations to determine facts and liability. 

• Maintaining clear communication with clients, the architect, the contractors and other relevant parties involved in the case. 

• Preparing formal reports summarizing findings, outlining recommended actions, and drafting official outcomes based on the investigation. 

• Essure adhering to construction laws, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the case management process.  

• Working effectively with other team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth case management. 

• Maintaining accurate and organized records of all case-related information.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction contract administration, quantity surveying, or construction project management.

• Experience with construction contract administration in Ethiopia, including contracts prepared based on government procurement guidelines, private sector building contracts, and employer-contractor agreements aligned with Ethiopian Civil Code and Proclamation is highly desirable.

• Experience in banking or commercial building projects is an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of construction contract law and procurement practices.

• Excellent organizational and document management skills.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with project management or contract management software is a plus.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• High attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Integrity, professionalism, and teamwork.
