Job Description
Location: Lebu Mebrat Hail DMC Real Estate Building
Reports To: Administration manager
DMC Construction PLC is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to optimize inventory control across our Construction and real estate portfolio and construction projects. You'll manage end-to-end supply chain processes from procurement to distribution ensuring optimal stock levels for maintenance, capital improvements, and operational assets. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of inventory management expertise in construction or property operations, with strong analytical skills to minimize waste and drive efficiency. Administrative proficiency and field coordination are essential for this hybrid role.
Duties and responsibilities:
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Oversee procurement, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials (maintenance supplies, renovation assets, and office inventory)
Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems
Forecast demand, analyze usage patterns, and implement waste-reduction strategies
Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy across all properties
Operational Coordination
Supervise storekeeping activities: inspection, storage organization, and material issuance
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments for timely supply delivery
Ensure compliance with safety standards in storage facilities
Administrative & Field Support
Prepare reports on inventory turnover, stock levels, and cost analysis
Process purchase orders and manage documentation (e.g., delivery notes, invoices)
Conduct site visits to properties/suppliers for inventory verification or procurement tasks
Job Requirement
Education: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
Experience: 5+ years in inventory management (construction, real estate, or facilities sectors)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Office
Experience with inventory software
Core Competencies:
Exceptional analytical and forecasting abilities
Proven multitasking in fast-paced environments
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and willingness for local travel (site visits/supplier coordination)
Technical Skills:
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in inventory management
Experience with construction-specific materials
Knowledge of real estate asset management principles
