Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Market Research & Product Development Officer to spearhead our product innovation and market analysis initiatives. This role is essential for understanding market needs and trends, and for leveraging insights to develop and enhance products that meet customer expectations. The officer will gather and analyze market data to support strategic decisions and identify competitive landscapes.
Collaboration and Idea Generation is key in this position, as the officer will work closely with marketing, sales, R&D, and production teams to ensure that product development aligns with market demands and business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and launching new products, as well as enhancing existing offerings to meet evolving market needs.
Identify and generate innovative product and service ideas aligned with customer needs and company strategy.
Conduct brainstorming sessions, idea screening, and feasibility studies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance, R&D) to turn concepts into viable products.
Conducting Comprehensive Market Research by designing and executing to gather qualitative and quantitative data on target markets, customer segments, and unmet needs to identify market trends, size, growth potential, and regulatory changes.
Analyze Market Trends & Opportunities by monitor industry developments, technological advancements, and shifts in consumer behavior relevant to the company's products/services.
Deeply understand customer pain points, preferences, and purchasing behaviors to identify distinct needs and tailor product solutions accordingly.
Translate market research findings and customer insights into innovative product concepts and feature enhancements.
Develop detailed product concepts, including value propositions, target audience, key features, and preliminary business cases.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to define clear and comprehensive product requirements (e.g., functional specifications, user stories, performance criteria).
Ensure product requirements are aligned with market needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
Use performance data to inform future product development cycles and strategic adjustments.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s/ Masters' Degree in Marketing Management, Management, Economics and any relevant fields from a recognized institution.
5/3 years and above relevant experience in the position,
Able to work with others and a good team player
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
