Job Description

The Executive Director of Warehouse & Logistics is a senior executive responsible for leading and optimizing all warehouse, logistics, and distribution operations. This role ensures seamless product flow from suppliers to customers, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the company’s e-commerce platform. The Executive Director will design robust warehouse management systems, streamline logistics processes, and drive continuous improvement to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight of Warehouse & Logistics

  • Provide executive leadership for all warehouse and logistics operations.

  • Develop scalable structures to support growth and expansion of operations.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between inbound (supplier to warehouse) and outbound (warehouse to customer) operations.

Warehouse Management & Inventory Control

  • Oversee warehouse layout, storage optimization, and inventory accuracy.

  • Implement effective stock control methods to minimize shrinkage and ensure product availability.

  • Lead initiatives for warehouse automation, real-time tracking, and reporting systems.

Logistics & Distribution Strategy

  • Manage end-to-end logistics, including transportation planning, route optimization, and vendor partnerships.

  • Ensure timely, reliable delivery to both B2B and B2C customers.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service excellence.

Process Optimization & Operational Efficiency

  • Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

  • Introduce KPIs for fulfillment speed, delivery accuracy, and overall logistics efficiency.

  • Collaborate with technology teams to integrate logistics and warehouse operations into the company platform.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work with finance to align logistics and warehouse costs with budgets.

  • Coordinate with sourcing and procurement teams to ensure smooth inbound product flow.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support company-wide operational goals.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Build and lead high-performing warehouse and logistics teams.

  • Set performance metrics and monitor team performance for accountability.

  • Ensure the departments are adequately staffed, structured, and trained to support operational excellence.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale logistics and warehouse operations, preferably in e-commerce, FMCG, or retail sectors.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Expertise in warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation planning.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to design and implement scalable logistics systems.

  • Financial and analytical acumen to drive cost savings and efficiency.
