Food Server
Designation: Food Server
Reports to: Head of Nutrition and Food Services / Senior Chef

Number of people required : 5
The Food Server will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with established dietary guidelines, hygiene standards, and customer service principles. This role contributes to the nutritional well-being and satisfaction of individuals within the hospital.
Operational Duties:
Prepare food trays accurately according to patient dietary requirements and meal orders.
Serve meals to patients in their rooms, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
Assist in setting up and serving food in the staff cafeteria or designated dining areas.
Collect used trays and dishes, ensuring proper disposal of food waste.
Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas, utensils, and equipment.
Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of the kitchen staff.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of food served and dietary restrictions.
Manage food inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.
Ensure proper storage of food items to prevent spoilage.
Customer Service:
Interact with patients and staff in a friendly and respectful manner.
Address basic food-related inquiries or concerns from patients or their families.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificate in Food Preparation, Catering, or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum of 1 year of demonstrable experience as a Food Server, preferably in a healthcare, hotel, or institutional catering setting.
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and maintain a clean work environment.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
