Job Description

We are urgently hiring qualified and motivated Qualitative Data Collectors to join our research team for an upcoming project. The role will involve conducting in-depth fieldwork, engaging with communities, and ensuring accurate and reliable data collection. This is a time-sensitive opportunity as the project officially begins on Monday, August 25, 2025, and selected candidates will be expected to start immediately

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs)

  • Accurately document and transcribe qualitative data

  • Ensure data quality, completeness, and confidentiality

  • Collaborate with field supervisors and project teams to meet data collection targets

  • Provide daily progress updates and report any field challenges promptly

  • Adhere to ethical standards and project guidelines during data collection

Job Requirements

  • Educational background in Sociology, Social Work, or Anthropology

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in qualitative data collection

  • Experience working in at least one of the following regions:

    • Oromia

    • Somali

    • Amhara

    • Afar

    • Tigray

    • South Ethiopia

    • Sidama

    • South West & Central Ethiopia

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
