Job Description
We are urgently hiring qualified and motivated Qualitative Data Collectors to join our research team for an upcoming project. The role will involve conducting in-depth fieldwork, engaging with communities, and ensuring accurate and reliable data collection. This is a time-sensitive opportunity as the project officially begins on Monday, August 25, 2025, and selected candidates will be expected to start immediately
Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs)
Accurately document and transcribe qualitative data
Ensure data quality, completeness, and confidentiality
Collaborate with field supervisors and project teams to meet data collection targets
Provide daily progress updates and report any field challenges promptly
Adhere to ethical standards and project guidelines during data collection
Educational background in Sociology, Social Work, or Anthropology
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in qualitative data collection
Experience working in at least one of the following regions:
Oromia
Somali
Amhara
Afar
Tigray
South Ethiopia
Sidama
South West & Central Ethiopia
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
