We are looking for a skilled and responsible Laboratory Technician to manage and support the daily operations of our school science laboratory. The technician will assist teachers and students in conducting experiments, ensure laboratory safety, and maintain laboratory equipment and materials in excellent condition. This role requires an individual with both technical knowledge and a passion for supporting hands-on science education.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up, and organize laboratory materials, equipment, and chemicals for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons.

• Assist teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring correct use of laboratory tools and adherence to safety protocols.

• Maintain accurate records of laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment usage.

• Regularly check, clean, and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure functionality.

• Enforce safety guidelines and proper waste disposal procedures in the laboratory.

• Provide technical support for science projects, exhibitions, and experiments.

• Support teachers in designing and implementing practical learning experiences.

• Report damages, shortages, or maintenance needs to the school administration.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Sc. in Biology, Chemistry, Physics with PGDT OR B.Sc. in Laboratory Technology

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a school laboratory setting.

• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety practices.
