Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer)

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for designing and implementing M&E systems to track the progress, performance, and impact of hospital programs and projects. This role involves data collection, analysis, reporting, and ensuring accountability to support evidence-based decision-making.
M&E System Design & Implementation:
Develop and implement comprehensive M&E plans for various hospital initiatives, projects, and quality improvement programs.
Design data collection tools (e.g., surveys, forms, checklists) and methodologies.
Establish performance indicators and targets for monitoring program effectiveness.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness through regular data verification and cleaning.
Data Collection & Analysis:
Collect quantitative and qualitative data through various means (e.g., patient records review, staff interviews, surveys).
Analyze data to assess program performance, identify trends, and measure impact against objectives.
Utilize statistical software for data analysis.
Reporting & Learning:
Prepare regular M&E reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, stakeholders, .
Present findings and recommendations to inform program adjustments and strategic planning.
Facilitate learning sessions to share M&E findings and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Capacity Building:
Provide training and technical support to staff on M&E concepts, data collection, and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
Minimum of 1 experience
Proven experience in designing M&E frameworks, data collection tools, and conducting data analysis.
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
