Employment Type: Full-time
Great Coffee Ethiopia is seeking a Warehouse and Coffee Cleaning Officer with deep experience in coffee warehouse operations, inventory control, and green coffee processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing coffee lot movement, inspection, cleaning operations, and storage in line with export standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage warehouse operations including coffee sampling, weighing, labeling, inventory tracking, and lot separation.
Inspect the quality of incoming coffee lots and verify their match with approved samples.
Oversee and coordinate the cleaning process of coffee for export in compliance with ECX and buyer requirements.
Supervise the storage and organization of green coffee, ensuring cleanliness, ventilation, and pest control.
Handle documentation for warehouse stock, movements, and inspection reports.
Collaborate with quality control, logistics, and export documentation teams to ensure readiness for shipment.
Ensure all activities comply with insurance, safety, and security protocols.
Coordinate closely with the quality department and cupping lab to ensure coffee meets export-grade standards.
Participate in or support cupping sessions and provide feedback on physical quality issues observed at the warehouse level.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, with coffee quality training preferred.
4–8 years of hands-on experience in coffee warehouse or coffee cleaning operations for export.
4–8 years of hands-on experience in coffee warehouse or coffee cleaning operations for export, with exposure to coffee quality control and cupping strongly preferred.
Knowledge of green coffee grading, defects, and moisture content standards is a plus.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with team supervision experience.
Proficiency in inventory and warehouse management systems.
Excellent interpersonal and reporting skills.
Fluency in Amharic and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
