We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to manage our company’s sourcing and purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and procuring goods and services essential for our operations, ensuring they meet quality standards while achieving the best possible cost-efficiency. Your role will be crucial in developing strong supplier relationships and implementing effective procurement strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Manage the entire vendor lifecycle, including performance reviews and contract negotiations. 

• Purchase Order Processing: Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders and requests in accordance with company policies and budgetary constraints.

• Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. 

• Cost Control & Budgeting: Analyze market trends and apply cost-reduction strategies to achieve significant savings without compromising on quality. 

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and administer supplier contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. 

• Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies, as well as relevant legal and regulatory guidelines. 

• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other key metrics. 

• Prepare reports on procurement activities for management review. 

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Project Management) to understand their needs and provide procurement support.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. 

• Proven experience (e.g 5_8 years) as a Procurement Officer, Purchasing Agent, or in a similar role. 

• Demonstrable experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. 

• Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as market analysis. 

• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). 

• Knowledge of relevant legal and contractual terms.
