Position: Finance and Operational Manager

Full Time | Salary 32,000 ETB Position Overview

Open Future Ethiopia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance and Operational Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational functions of our organization, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization's income and expenditure accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and maintained.

• Guarantee that all financial transactions adhere to recognized accounting standards and principles.

• Manage the organization's bank accounts and financial transfers, including checks and money transfers, with joint authorization alongside the Executive Director (ED).

• Ensure the safe keeping and diligent maintenance of financial records and related documents.

• Ensure all financial activities comply with donor requirements and local regulations.

• Prepare comprehensive accounting documents, including records of income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities.

• Implement and maintain appropriate financial documentation for income-generating activities, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.

• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making by the ED and the board.

• Identify and manage financial risks that could impact the organization’s operations and reputation.

• Execute additional tasks as directed by the operational guidelines and the ED.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification preferred).

Experience

• Proven 4 year experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in financial management software (Peachtree).
