Job Title: Data Collector – Mall Building Project

Location: Addis Ababa

Employment Type: Full-Time 1-Year Contract

Project Overview:

We are seeking a Data Collector to support our site and office teams by gathering, verifying, and managing project-related data for a large-scale mall construction project nearing its final stages. This role ensures accurate reporting and documentation to facilitate informed decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collect and record site data related to progress of finishing works, manpower deployment, material usage, and equipment utilization.

• Conduct daily site visits to verify actual progress against the construction schedule.

• Maintain updated logs for material deliveries, stock levels, and usage reports.

• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for submission to project management.

• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate data capture.

• Ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry into project management systems or spreadsheets.

• Report discrepancies, delays, or issues identified during data collection to the Office Engineer or Project Manager.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Excel and data reporting tools.

• Familiarity with construction workflows and site operations.

Other Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in large-scale commercial or high-rise projects.

• Knowledge of construction progress tracking and material control systems.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education: 

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

Experience: 

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data collection, site documentation, or project reporting for construction projects (commercial projects preferred).
