An accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions within a company, including collecting, tracking, and correcting financial data. They prepare budget forecasts, financial statements, and tax returns, reconcile accounts, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide reports on the company’s financial health. Accountants also handle audits and maintain confidentiality of financial data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping.

• Prepare and analyze budgets, financial statements, and reports.

• Reconcile accounts payable, receivable, petty cash, and bank statements.

• Conduct audits of financial transactions and documents for accuracy and compliance.

• Compute and prepare tax payments and returns.

• Ensure timely publication of financial statements.

Job Requirements:

• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of country and other financial regulations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. pichtree accounting)

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting tools.

• Analytical & Organizational Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
