Job Description
The purpose of this position is to support project targeted health facilities in planning and implementation of preventive and curative health services including outreach activities according to the National Protocols, as well as universal health standards.
Technical Support and Facilitation
Undertake joint health facility assessment with RHB/WOHO to identify gaps and support in addressing identified gaps to functionalize the health facilities.
Provide trainings both on job coaching and mentorship to HEWs and HDAs on different elements including IMCI, Epi, Covid-19 IPC, measures, ANC/PNC among others.
Support in the provision of logistical support to the health facilities and WOHO for essential medical supplies and equipment.
Undertake community mobilization on COVID 19 prevention, active case finding, defaulter tracing and beneficiary follow up
In collaboration with project officer and MOH HEW, contribute to improvement of the mobile activities by making suggestions, team discussions, observation of the activities
Support package for health posts includes including service delivery, HEWs capacity development in recording and reporting, active case finding and sensitization, supply and cold chain management and community mobilization among others.
Liaise with local authorities, represent the team in meetings and be responsible with all communications of the team as necessary.
Coordination and networking
In collaboration with project manager, facilitate and participate regularly at Woreda level health and nutrition taskforce meetings to be chaired by the Woreda health office and/or Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Office/DPPO
Establish and maintain smooth working relationships with Concern staff, government bodies and other stakeholders
Ensure good communication with the team
Work in close collaboration with co-workers as well as with staffs of partners and the authority
Report problems encountered in the centre or within the team to the immediate supervisor
Propose solution to solve any problem faced and report them to the immediate supervisor
Participate actively in regular staff meetings
Respect of all CWW procedures (HR, Logs & IT, and Finance etc.)
Planning, Reporting and Accountability
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and any other required documentation for submission to the immediate supervisor
Ensure and support the Woreda Health Office (WoHO) staff in reporting, recording and supply management of health program
Ensure weekly and monthly reports are submitted to the program manager using appropriate formats
Report any problems in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor
Ensure that program participants and stakeholders have clear information about the program activities as appropriate and relevant to them.
At all times, adhere to policies and guidelines of Concern.
Support on cascading induction on mainstreaming gender, protection, accountability, HIV/AIDS, and equality to other project staff
Ensure proper documentation of good practices, success stories, challenges for learning and sharing
Follow clearly appropriate protocols and guidelines
Participate in the weekly/ monthly data compilation and reporting of health activities
Prepare both weekly and monthly reports regarding your activities, identified, problems and proposed solutions for your immediate supervisor and program manager (if he/she needs it)
Ensure timely request of drugs, supplies and other program items.
Additional Duties
Perform other duties assigned by the line manager for the accomplishment of Programme objectives.

Role Holder Requirements:
Required:
Diploma or Degree in Public Health/Nursing
2-3 years relevant experience in clinical nursing
Profound experience in curative and preventive health services,
Computer literate
NGO experience in emergency projects is an advantage
Good communication and report writing skills
Good negotiation skill with government and other agencies
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
Good interpersonal skills and team player with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to understand and respect the cultural, religious and political environment and to work well with staff and local authorities in a diplomatic
Experience in providing training and capacity building for staff
