Job Description
Arrange timely collection of documents from Shipping Lines / Airlines / Agents as applicable;
Verify freight received against receipt information and documentation;
Verify incoming documentation for accuracy prior to reception and explain received documentation with shortages, overages and damages;
Follow up with shipping agent for vessel status / delivery order readiness and update the Main Transitor of Company;
Follow up documentation requirements with local authorities as well as overseas principals;
Examine shipping documents upon receipt and update the shipping companies for any discrepancies and coordinate with them for corrective measures as applicable;
Liaise with regulatory authorities on cargo documentation clearance;
Arrange the dispatch of completed customs clearance documents in collaboration with the Customs Assessor;
BA Degree / Diploma in Logistics and Supply Management, Management or related field
At least 2 / 4 years of related experience in trading company operation
Good knowledge of Logistics and Customs requirements
Good knowledge of Import and Export Documentation requirements
Computer skills
Good knowledge of accurate records keeping and interpreting written documents
Ability to communicate effectively with internal or external stakeholder
