Job Description
Review, compare and analyze prices and specifications of products and services to be imported;
Participate in the negotiation and selection of appropriate suppliers as per the Company’s Foreign Procurement standards and procedures;
Prepare purchase order documents;
Draft appropriate contract agreements to properly evaluate the performance of suppliers, and report on this on a regular basis;
Communicate with banks to fulfill required documents and information for the Letter Credit (LC) process;
Follow up the LC status closely to ensure no expiration;
Make the overall follow up of the shipment status of the imported items for timely delivery of items;
Provide the necessary and detail information about the status of the goods in transit for the concerned directorates or units;
Check all the necessary bank documents before payment is made;
Communicate and facilitate with Transit and Forwarding section of the Company regarding shipment, customs clearing agent and inland transportation of the imported items;
BA Degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Management or related field
At least 3 - 5 years of related experience in trading company operation
Good knowledge of international procurement and logistic regulations, procedures and customs documentation requirements
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Ability to establish good working relationships with international suppliers and national authorities
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
Attention to detail
