Location: Lebu Mebrat Hail DMC Real Estate Building 

Reports To:  

 We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with at least 6 years of professional experience in the design, coordination, and implementation of structural systems for real estate and industrial projects. The successful candidate will have a strong command of multiple structural engineering software platforms and the ability to design practical solutions for on-site challenges. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, design precision, and on-site adaptability, with a focus on working across steel, concrete, and mixed-material structures.

 Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, and models for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. 

• Prepare, edit, and coordinate structural drawings using Revit for 3D modeling and multidisciplinary integration. 

• Provide quick and effective engineering solutions for on-site structural problems, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure structural systems are fully integrated into overall project design.

• Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress, supervise implementation, and resolve technical issues. 

• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material proposals for accuracy and compliance with specifications.

• Prepare detailed structural reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation. • Ensure proper coordination of all structural design files within a BIM environment for accurate project delivery.

 Preferred Attributes:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to respond quickly to on-site structural challenges.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.

• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. 

• Prior experience in large-scale real estate, steel warehouses, and high-rise construction is a strong advantage.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). 

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in structural design and implementation.

• Strong knowledge of structural materials and systems including reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast, and composite structures. 

Proficiency in the following software is required: 

• Revit Structure (BIM & 3D modeling) 

• ETABS (structural analysis & design) 

• SAFE (foundation and slab design)

• SAP2000 (general structural analysis) 

• Robot (structural analysis & design)

• Tekla Structures (steel detailing & modeling) 

• AutoCAD (2D drafting & detailing)

• Proficiency in BIM coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks) is highly desirable. 

• Thorough understanding of local building codes and international standards
