Position: Human Resource Manager

About the Job
Zelalem Import Export is a well-known trading and engineering company in Ethiopia. We provide solutions in industrial, medical, solar, construction, agriculture, and water supply sectors. We are looking for a Human Resource Manager to join our Hawassa office. In this role, you will manage HR operations, handle contracts, and ensure compliance with labor laws while supporting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full HR function including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
Draft, review, and manage employment contracts
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and company policies
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
Support performance management, training, and employee development programs
Handle employee grievances and mediate conflicts effectively
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare HR reports
Collaborate with management to support organizational goals and workplace culture
Job Requirements
BA degree in Management, Law, Human Resource Management, or related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HR professional
Good knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and HR regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple responsibilities
