Job Description

St. Luke Catholic Hospital is seeking a qualified and motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our team as a permanent staff member. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality and safety of medical equipment across both the hospital and the College of Nursing & Midwifery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment.

  • Provide training and orientation to healthcare service providers on equipment usage and safety.

  • Collaborate with hospital departments and College to ensure timely repairs and maintenance scheduling.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar biomedical engineering role.

  • Certification or proven experience in maintaining:

    • Anesthesia machines

    • Patient monitors

    • Oxygen plant and concentrators

    • X-ray machines

    • Autoclaves

    • Medical refrigerators

    • Washing machines

  • Additional training in maintenance of the above equipment is highly desirable.
