Position Title: IT Manager 

Location: Chewberenda, Addis Ababa

Reports To: General Manager 

Employment type: Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to lead and oversee Amaga’s IT operations. This role requires strong expertise in managing ERP systems, business software, network infrastructure, and providing end-user support across departments. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and secure operation of all IT systems aligned with our business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with Amaga's business objectives.

  • Oversee all IT infrastructure, including hardware, networks, servers, and system software.

  • Manage and support the IT team across all company branches to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery.

  • Lead the operation, optimization, and ongoing support of the ERP system used across departments (production, inventory, sales, finance, HR), ensuring alignment with departmental needs.

  • Coordinate with ERP vendors or developers for system upgrades, feature enhancements, and troubleshooting.

  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures, data protection policies, and compliance standards.

  • Ensure robust data backup and disaster recovery systems are in place and tested regularly.

  • Supervise the deployment and maintenance of additional business software tools (CRM, HR software, property rental software, accounting systems, etc.).

  • Provide end-user support and coordinate IT training for staff to enhance digital capabilities.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in an IT and (2+ years) in IT management or senior IT role.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of business operations in manufacturing or trading companies is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of networks, cybersecurity, hardware, and software systems.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and IT compliance best practices.
