Lotus MCH Center is a maternal and child health facility in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, founded to create a safer, more compassionate, and dignified maternity experience. Lotus MCH Center is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager (GM) to oversee the facility’s non-clinical operations and support the Executive Director in delivering excellent maternal and child healthcare services.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the GM will ensure smooth day-to-day administration, manage resources effectively, and support long-term strategic growth. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to foster a supportive workplace culture that balances staff wellbeing, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
The GM will work closely with the Executive Director and Medical Director to ensure alignment between clinical and administrative functions, building a cohesive, high-performing organization.
Lead the development and execution of Lotus MCH Center’s strategic and operational plans.
Provide transparent reporting and strategic advice to the Executive Director.
Oversee all non-clinical operations, including finance, HR, and administration, ensuring alignment with clinical leadership.
Supervise and support the management team to foster collaboration and efficiency.
Ensure robust financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
Represent Lotus with professionalism in all external relationships, including regulators, partners, and the wider community.
Uphold the highest standards of ethical leadership, accountability, and patient-centered values.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in healthcare.
Proven success in leading organizational growth, operations management, and change management.
Strong skills in governance, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.
Advanced financial literacy and experience in budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
Visionary, inclusive leadership style with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Fluency in English and Amharic (oral and written) is required.
