Job Description

A Sales and Marketing Manager in DUGDA construction has a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the business and commercial activities of a company. This position involves managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, developing pricing strategies, and driving revenue growth. The role requires strategic planning, financial oversight, and collaboration with various departments to align commercial operations with the company’s objectives. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in the construction sector, expanding the company’s client base, and building partnerships with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders.

  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Overseeing the creation, review, and negotiation of contracts related to the supply of materials, ensuring that terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives while managing any amendments or renewals.

  • Pricing Strategy: Developing and implementing pricing strategies that reflect market conditions, competitive pressures, and cost analysis to maintain profitability and market competitiveness.

  • Financial Oversight: Managing budgets, cost analysis, and financial reporting related to commercial activities, ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are achieved.\

  • Customer Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong relationships with key clients and partners to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.

  • Market Analysis: Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and economic factors that affect the construction materials market, and using this information to inform strategic decisions.

  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in contracts and operations and developing strategies to mitigate those risks, ensuring smooth business processes and protecting company interests.
    Compliance and Standards: Ensuring that the company complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements relevant to construction materials and business operations.

  • Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team involved in sales, contracts, and business operations, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking sales performance, client feedback, and overall project execution to report on outcomes and adapt strategies as needed.

Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction       

  • Management, Master’s Degree in business (MBA) 

Work Experience:

  • Above 10 years of experience in a commercial Marketing or business management role, preferably within the construction or building materials sector minimum 3 years in managerial posts.

  • Proven experience in marketing, sales, and business development in the construction industry.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and manage disputes effectively.

  • Leadership and Team Management: Experience leading teams, setting goals, and fostering professional development.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, sales data, and operational metrics to make informed business decisions.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to address challenges and devise solutions to improve business processes and outcomes.

  • Project Management Skills: Competence in planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure timely delivery and quality service.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials, industry standards, and building codes.
