Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Self-Contained Teacher to lead and manage an early years classroom, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing age-appropriate educational activities to support the holistic development of children aged 3 to 5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Assess and monitor individual student progress, maintaining detailed records of development and achievements.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative approach to education.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respectful and cooperative conduct.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other staff to develop and implement curriculum plans that meet educational standards.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Valid teaching certification\/license for early years education.
Proven experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles and early years curriculum frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment.
