The Clinical Nurse creates and strengthens relationships and networking with respective donor staff, Government stakeholders, and other organizations, schedules, counsels, and implements an integrated clinical service, and the clinical nurse performs nursing duties ensuring efficient delivery and client/patient care in accordance with accepted standard medical practice and professional codes of conduct.
Provide Integrated clinical services, which include HTS, RH/FP, and STI, PrEP & CXCA services based on the service package in a friendly manner.
Provide counseling and testing professionally following the national counseling protocols
Provides nursing services, within the defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
Assure the client of the confidentiality of the counseling and testing process
Performs nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques, including sterile dressing, ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake, and conducting specimen collection
Administers medication and observes and documents therapeutic effects
Provides pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care
Monitors patients' progress, evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consults with appropriate members of the healthcare team
Provides reproductive health/family planning education to individuals and their families.
Prepares all surgical instruments, sets, and medical supplies required for operation in accordance with accepted standards,
Assists doctors intra-operatively (as a Scrub Nurse, Circulating Nurse, etc.) and makes the instruments ready for other operations as required.
Ensures proper receipt, storage, safekeeping, issuance, and timely placement of orders of surgical instruments and medical supplies for theatre by pre-establishing re-order level and regular replenishment of enough stocks.
Cleans and sterilizes the operating room and instruments.
Supervises patients' exercise routines,
Sets up and provides leisure activities for patients. Provide technical assistance for nurses
Follow all ART-linked clients active on the service and take appropriate action before linking them to ART facilities
Accompanied patients on outside recreational activities and performed other duties related to patient care and comfort
Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher for treatment or surgery
Carries messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
Makes beds and maintains patients' rooms
Takes blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of pregnant women throughout their pregnancy as part of regular follow-up.
Carries out laboratory tests of patients as part of the evaluation of health conditions of pregnant women with unusual diagnoses and reports to the gynecologist
Provides counseling to pregnant women having physiological or social difficulties.
Observes or monitors pregnant women’s status and documents patient care on charts.
Administers first aid in emergencies.
Administers suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
Performs other procedures as directed by the supervisor
Performs related tasks as reasonably required

BSc- Clinical Nursing.
Certificate of the Center of Competence
Professional registration license
Required Professional experience:
04 years and above work experience, preferably with NGOs
Experience of working with MARPs
Experience in developing a detailed implementation plan of activities, good computer usage skills, Good interpersonal communication, Certificate on HIV testing and counseling, Certificate on syndromic management of STIs
Certificate on both long-term & short-term family planning

Good interpersonal skills and a team player with sensitivity to cultural diversity
