Reports to: Maintenance Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and manufacturing settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both power and control circuits, including PLCs, automated systems, and high- and low-voltage equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation in accordance with Standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Power Circuit Work:

• Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.

• Troubleshoot faults using advanced diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters.

• Control Circuit Work:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control circuits, including PLCs, relays, contactors, and motor control systems.

• Test, calibrate, and ensure proper operation of automated and machinery control systems.

• Preventive Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and system modifications.

• Technical Documentation:

• Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.

• Update and maintain technical documentation for installations and repairs.

• Safety & Compliance:

• Follow Electrical Standards (ES) and company safety procedures.

• Implement lockout/tagout procedures and ensure safe working conditions at all times

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• BSc in electricity or Electronics or Diploma Vocational or technical school training in Electrical Technology

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical repair, maintenance, and installation in commercial or industrial environments.

• Expertise in both power and control circuits, PLCs, and automated systems.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety protocols and preventive maintenance practices.

• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
