Job Description
Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, Non-Governmental Organization established in 2002 by a group of volunteers in the Jimma zone of Oromia Regional State. Initially founded to combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic, FIDO has expanded its focus to include prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), care and support for orphan and vulnerable children (OVC), and various health projects such as malaria control and reproductive health.
Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
Conduct safe and skilled deliveries in line with clinical protocols.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
Offer family planning counseling and services.
Provide health education and support to mothers and families.
Identify and manage obstetric complications, referring cases as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery from a recognized institution.
Licensure:
Valid professional license/registration with the relevant national board
Experience:
Three years of clinical experience.
Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn health.
Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Commitment to compassionate, respectful, and ethical care.
Languages:
Fluency in Afan Oromo and Amharic is required.
