The Junior Procurement Officer provides administrative and operational support to the procurement team, assisting in various aspects of the procurement process. This entry-level role focuses on learning procurement fundamentals, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth flow of procurement documentation within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.  Assist in preparing purchase requisitions and purchase orders under supervision.

2.  Maintain and update procurement files, records, and databases accurately.

3.  Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and documentation.

4.  Assist in obtaining quotations from suppliers and preparing comparison sheets.

5.  Handle routine administrative tasks for the procurement department, such as filing, scanning, and data entry.

6.  Liaise with internal departments to gather information needed for procurement activities.

7.  Assist in tracking shipments and coordinating deliveries with the warehouse team.

8.  Help verify invoices and supporting documents for payment processing.

9.  Learn and apply company procurement policies and procedures.

10.  Support senior procurement staff in market research and supplier identification.

11.  Assist in maintaining supplier contact lists and information.

12.  Handle basic correspondence with suppliers under guidance.

13.  Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient procurement office.

14.  Learn about the specific materials and services procured for the FMCG manufacturing industry.

15.  Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

•  A Bachelor's degree (BA) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

•  Zero (0) to one (1) year of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or logistics roles within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.

Skills:

•  Discretionary ability to learn and apply basic procurement procedures and administrative tasks.

•  Good organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping and documentation.

•  Basic understanding of office procedures and MS Office applications.

•  Willingness to learn and develop skills in procurement and supply chain.

•  Good communication skills for interacting with team members and suppliers.

•  Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

•  Proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute to procurement operations.

•  Reliability and diligence in performing assigned duties.
