Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will provide vital support to maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play an integral part in our financial operations as we continue to grow in the Education industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger updates.
Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely collection and payments.
Preparing and facilitating monthly staff payrolls, and tax (IT, VAT, With Holding Tax, Pension).
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting activities.
Conduct regular inventory audits for trading operations and reconcile any discrepancies.
Assist in preparing documents for audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
Stay updated on tax regulations and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant financial legislation
Supporting the finance manager in preparing all the documents needed for the day-to-day operations and audit process.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1 - 3 years of relevant experience, Experience in the education sector is a plus.
Advanced knowledge in accounting software/Peachtree/
Good software knowledge other than Peachtree is a plus
Good computer skills; Proficiency in MS Excel, with skills in creating and managing spreadsheets for reporting.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Basic understanding of project cost accounting and inventory management.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
