We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Procurement Officer to lead and optimize our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, vendor relations, and strategic sourcing, with a proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and deliver cost-effective solutions.

 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, bidding, evaluation, and contracting

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, donor regulations, and industry standards

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance

• Negotiate contracts and build long-term relationships with reliable suppliers

• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency

• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory

• Lead procurement audits and support external reviews

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain roles

• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, contract law, and vendor management

• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage
