The Lead Auto Technician is responsible for supervision and coordination staffs engaged in the assignment of various job related to Pre-Delivery Service (PD), the repair and/or maintenance of vehicles of express nature. The lead also gives guidance on inspection, trouble shooting and repair works. The lead is also responsible to exercise initiative and discretion in the assignment of various complex repairs and diagnosis that will be encountered by Pre-Delivery Service Inspection and the express service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.  Assist in Paining, assigning and supervising the work of employees engaged in the pre-delivery services, express service work.
2.  Inspects work during progress and upon completion, ensures that deficiencies are corrected in accordance with instructions, specifications above all to customers' satisfaction.
3.  Guides and personally performs various difficult mechanical works.
4.  Guides, trouble shoots and/or diagnoses vehicles equipped with EFI, TCI, CRDi, etc by using high tech diagnostic equipment.
5.  Ensures that the job cards are dispatched in accordance with first come first served basis and to the proper technician.
6.  Ensures that each repair work is progressing and/or being carried out in accordance with the estimated time to the benefit of the company.
7.  Differentiate and report warranty repairs from customer paid repairs.
8.  Ensures that all spare parts issued for vehicles under repair are properly fitted to the respective vehicles.
9.  Makes a continuous follow-up of ordered parts and sublet works until they are received by respective technicians. 
10.  Follow-ups and inspects that new and/or replaced parts are kept properly after collecting from the stores and/or removing from the vehicles and delivered to the customers respectively.
11.  Assist in keeping records of work performed, by each technician, and submits reports on work in progress at any time.
12.  Initiates modification of parts, whose production is discontinued.
13.  Assist in making repair cost estimates for all repair orders and ensures that each repair order is completed before the estimated time.
14.  Ensure that the interests of the company are well served by proper utilization of resources.
15.  Assist in supervising the intact presence of each technician on the job there by controlling time spent on the job.
16.  Ensures that customers are informed about additional repair work and their consent is obtained before proceeding with the repair.
17.  Ensures that recommended SST and the appropriate Repair Manuals are used during repair/ maintenance work by all technicians.  
18.  Ensures that the job cards are immediately transferred to work dispatch and customer relation section after the required mechanical repair work is completed.
19.  Makes sure that the time in and time out columns on each job card are properly filled during start and end and/or interruption of the repair work.
20.  Ensure that mechanical shop consumables and materials are readily available at all times.
21.  Makes sure that the necessary safety devices are in place, in good working condition and up dated.
22.  Ensures that all safety precautions are taken by each technician in the workshop.
23.  Assist in maintain a well organized, clean, and safe working area.
24.  Follow-ups and inspects that accessories, tools, jack, etc… of new vehicles are kept properly.
25.  Ensures that the job card, customer invoice, warranty booklet, the vehicle neatness, and etc and checks prior to the customer’s arrival for vehicle pick-up.
26.  Keeps records of new vehicle information such as VIN/Frame No., Engine No., delivery date, etc… submits reports on timely basis to Auto Sales Division.
27.  Ensures that the customer vehicle is clean both inside and outside prior to delivery to customer. 
28.  Suggest in establishing a specific location for new vehicles to be delivered to customers. 
29.  Ensure that customer’s vehicles keys are safely maintained.

30.  Report to management any circumstances that compromise the integrity of the company, its personnel or customers. 
31.  Constructively communicate with other company personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
32.  Be a role model and build tem sprit while on duties.
33.  Performs road test where the immediate supervisor believes the importance of conducting road test for the work undertaken and in each cases like drivability complaints noise complaints and etc by the customer and after heavy repairs. 
34.  Makes sure that the necessary safety devices are in place, in good working condition and up dated.
35.  Ensure that all safety precautions are taken by each technician in the workshop. 
36.  Performs final inspection and adjustment prior to delivery
37.  Must ensure that the repair/maintenance work is performed exactly in accordance with the owner manuals and services manuals of Hyundai Motor Company.
38.  The immediate supervisory is fully responsible for the repair/maintenance work completed before delivery being effected tot eh customer. 
39.  Perform other related work as assigned by the immediate Supervisor.  

Job Requirements

• College diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Auto- mechanics or in other related fields 

• 10 years related work experience

• Hand on experience on Electrical Vehicle (EV) maintenance.
