The Education Production (EdPro) Center is part of Shayashone’s growing commitment to advancing digital education in Ethiopia. Established within the ICT Park, the center was created to strengthen the development of high-quality digital resources that support both teaching and learning across different levels of education. With collaboration, innovation, and accessibility at its core, the center seeks to transform the future of education in Ethiopia and beyond.
Once fully established, the EdPro Center will specialize in producing high-quality educational content that supports online teaching and the development of localized as well as globally relevant digital courses. Alongside this, it plans to provide training and development in multimedia, instructional design, professional skills, and life skills for diverse groups of learners and educators. The center also envisions supplying advanced educational technologies, including devices, multimedia studios, satellite learning centers, and virtual learning tools. In addition, its research and consultancy services will focus on policy studies, sector analyses, accreditation support, and institutional advisory services, positioning the center as a forward-looking partner in the education sector.

The Videographer & Production Manager leads the EdPro Center’s audiovisual production, ensuring that educational content is delivered through dynamic and engaging media. The role balances creativity with management, driving the production process while upholding technical and pedagogical standards.
Main responsibilities include, overseeing the end-to-end production process from script development to editing and delivery, ensuring media outputs align with the center’s learning objectives and brand identity,  guiding production staff and interns while building capacity in video and multimedia production, and liaising with educators, project managers, and partners to understand requirements, present prototypes, and deliver high-quality outputs for multiple platforms.
The Videographer & Production Manager ensures the EdPro Center’s educational vision comes to life through impactful audiovisual storytelling, strengthening the center’s role as a hub for high-quality digital learning resources.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Video Production Management:

  • Lead end-to-end video production: script development, filming, editing, and final output.

  • Develop production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Ensure technical and creative consistency across all audiovisual outputs.

Creative Direction & Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with instructional designers and educators to translate content into engaging media.

  • Review footage and edit to align with pedagogical goals and SYS brand identity.

  • Maintain a library of reusable media assets for efficiency and scalability.

Team Leadership & Training:

  • Supervise production assistants, junior videographers, and interns.

  • Provide training in videography, editing, and multimedia production.

  • Foster a collaborative and creative working environment.

Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery:

  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and educators to understand content requirements.

  • Present prototypes and collect feedback for iterative improvement.

  • Deliver final productions in required formats for multiple platforms.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, or related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in video production and project management.

Expertise

  • Video production and editing

  • Multimedia content for education

  • Creative direction and brand alignment

  • Technical operation of filming equipment

  • Team supervision and training.
