The Logistics Coordinator ensures the efficient scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of vehicles and cargo across Daye Transport’s logistics network. The role is critical for maintaining delivery timelines, optimizing fleet usage, and ensuring smooth communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and assign daily delivery schedules based on cargo volume, destination, and vehicle availability

• Optimize routes to reduce fuel consumption, travel time, and delays

• Adjust dispatch plans in response to traffic, weather, or road conditions

• Communicate real-time instructions and updates to drivers

• Prepare and verify waybills, delivery notes, and dispatch manifests

• Maintain digital and physical records of dispatches, vehicle movements, and delivery confirmations

• Act as the primary contact for drivers regarding schedules and instructions. 

• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery timelines and resolve service issues

• Track vehicle movement using GPS and fleet management software

• Monitor delivery performance, delays, and driver compliance

• Generate daily and weekly dispatch reports for management review

• Verify transporter invoices against delivery records and agreed rates

• Coordinate with finance for timely payments and dispute resolution

• Ensure drivers follow safety protocols and company SOPs

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation coordination.
