The Head of Procurement is a senior leadership role responsible for managing all procurement and store operations of the company. The role involves developing and enforcing procurement policies and procedures, managing contracts and supplier negotiations, ensuring compliance with company standards, and leading a team of 12 staff across procurement and store management. The position holder will play a strategic role in sourcing high-quality goods and services at competitive prices, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring timely, transparent, and cost-effective purchasing processes. The Head of Procurement will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with senior management to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all procurement and store functions to ensure operational excellence and compliance. 

• Develop, implement, and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and internal control systems. 

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality goods and services at the best value. 

• Manage contract preparation, review, and performance monitoring. 

• Maintain compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and international procurement regulations. 

• Oversee inventory management, stock control, and efficient store operations. 

• Build and sustain long-term supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost efficiency. 

• Prepare and present procurement reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management. 

• Mentor, coach, and lead a team of 12 professionals across procurement and store functions. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely purchasing aligned with production needs.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in procurement and store management, preferably within the agriculture, horticulture, or international business sector. 

• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of supply chain management, international procurement standards, contracting procedures, and vendor performance management. 

Skills & Competencies 

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. 

• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. 

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 

• High integrity, strategic mindset, and the ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment
