Marketing and Advertising Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly advertisement schedules, ensuring optimal placement of ads in accordance with client requests and station programming.

  • Communicate with clients / agencies to confirm ad placements, gather necessary information, and address any scheduling conflicts or changes.

  • Ensure all advertisements comply with regulations and station policies, including content restrictions and required disclosures.

  • Work closely with sales team, agencies, and MC to coordinate ad campaigns and ensure seamless execution of promotional activities.

  • Generate and maintain reports on ad placements for clients and revenue generation for internal review

  • Address scheduling conflicts or issues proactively and develop solutions to minimize disruptions to the broadcast schedule.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform scheduling strategies and improve ad effectiveness.

  • Build strong and ongoing relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and campaign renewal.

  • Work closely with the sales department to convert leads into signed advertisement deals.

  • Collaborate with the production and programming teams to align ad content and schedules with program air times.

  • Negotiate advertisement rates and offer custom promotional packages when appropriate.

  • Schedule advertisement air times in coordination with the production and broadcast calendar.

  • Ensure proper placement and rotation of advertisement materials within television programs.

  • Maintain accurate advertising logs, schedules, and delivery timelines.

  • Manage advertising contracts in accordance with company policies and negotiated terms.

  • Ensure all agreements are documented, signed, and stored appropriately.

  • Follow up with clients regarding billing, payment schedules, the running of Advertisement as per the contract and overdue accounts in collaboration with the finance department.

  • Carry out additional marketing, sales, and promotional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Marketing Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • BA in Marketing Management, Marketing, Sales or related field and 3 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
