Job Purpose:- Senior Agro Mechanic is responsible for supervising and performing maintenance, repair, and servicing of agricultural machinery and equipment (tractors, harvesters, planters, irrigation pumps, etc.). The role ensures that farm operations run smoothly by minimizing downtime, enhancing machine performance, and mentoring junior mechanics.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in tractors and farm equipment.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules.

• Ensure availability and installation of genuine spare parts.

• Calibrate and adjust machinery for optimal performance

•   Lead and guide junior mechanics and workshop technicians

•  Perform field support during peak agricultural operations (ploughing, planting, harvesting).

• Advise management on machinery replacement, upgrades, and spare parts requirements.

• Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Education

• Diploma/Level 3/ 10+3 COC Certified in Agro- mechanic practical experience in repair and maintenance of agricultural machinery or Related fields of studies.

Experience

• 5 years and above years of experience 

Skills 

• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

• Skilled in assembling and overhauling major components of heavy equipment
