Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing Researcher to lead data collection, analysis, and reporting that directly supports business growth and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record in market research, data analysis, and consumer insights who can translate findings into clear business strategies.

This is a key role in the company — you will be the bridge between raw market data and actionable intelligence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research projects (surveys, focus groups, competitor analysis, etc.).

  • Collect and analyze data on consumer behavior, industry trends, and market dynamics.

  • Develop detailed research reports and actionable recommendations for management.

  • Evaluate competitors, pricing, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and risks.

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to guide campaigns and business development strategies

  • Track and analyze market performance metrics and provide regular updates.

  • Manage and supervise data collection teams (when fieldwork is required).

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in market research, data analysis, or business intelligence.

  • Strong knowledge of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).

  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, SPSS, STATA, or similar).

  • Strong report writing and presentation skills in both Amharic and English.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Willingness to conduct on-ground field research and manage enumerator teams if required.
