Job Description

Reporting To: Finance and Admin Coordinator
Contract Period: One-year contract, subject to renewal based on performance & funding availability

The Storekeeper is responsible for ensuring proper management of all goods and materials received and issued by the organization. The role involves maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions, ensuring safe and organized storage, and supporting the procurement and logistics team in maintaining efficient stock control systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, record, and store goods and materials purchased by the organization.

  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records in stock cards and electronic systems.

  • Issue goods and materials to staff based on approved store requisition forms, ensuring proper documentation and signatures.

  • Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain the quality and safety of all goods.

  • Monitor stock levels regularly and report shortages or excesses to the Procurement Officer and Project Manager.

  • Ensure proper rotation of stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment at all times.

  • Participate in periodic stock counts, including year-end and surprise audits.

  • Submit monthly stock reports to the Procurement Officer and Finance & Admin Coordinator.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • BA degree or Diploma in Supplies Management, Logistics, Accounting, Management, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for diploma holders or 2 years for degree holders in storekeeping, warehouse management, or logistics.

  • Previous experience in an INGO or similar environment is an asset.

  • Proven experience in inventory management, documentation, and record-keeping.
