Duties & Responsibilities:

• Developed and executed the maintenance strategy

• Develops the maintenance strategy in line with the operation strategy and business need.

• Enforces and manages the understanding and application of the maintenance strategy.

• Converts the strategy into tactical actions for implementation up to the shop floor maintenance team.

• Constantly monitors and aligns the maintenance strategy with the business direction.

• Maintained and optimized factory assets and reports performance

• Managed maintenance activities are carried out according to plan and documented.

• Conducts breakdown analysis with the team as part of the coaching and development process.

• Develops and implements maintenance management routines and aligns with customers like production (including daily breakdown analysis, work order generation and implementation).

• Priorities maintenance activity as per agreed plan with the customer

• Manages maintenance cost

• Performs maintenance budgeting as per guidelines provided.

• Conducts maintenance activities with an optimum cost consideration; no compromise on equipment performance.

• Manages resource planning with a focus on cost optimization.

• Ensures maintenance cost is managed per volume produced on a monthly basis.

• Prepare training needs analysis and develop training plans accordingly. Monitor that training delivers the expected results.

• Ensure that career development is in line with the strategic business needs.

• Maintain a good and healthy work environment in the department.

• Apply Company’s policies in terms of recruitment, compensation and people development.

• Identifies process and efficiency improvement projects related to maintenance; works with customers to do the same.

• Develops and presents project brief that includes the cost benefit analysis and related capex required.

• Once approved, manages the execution of the projects.

• Ensures projects are conducted as per company policy and procedure 

• Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety rules and regulations.

• Enforce the use permits for all High Hazard Work carried out by team and any contractor.

• Implements 5S across the maintenance function.

Job Requirements

Qualification

• Bsc/Msc Degree Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent degree

• 5-8 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing, preferably food manufacturing or 5 years in a Maintenance Manager role within the food manufacturing environment/Soap and Detergent.
