Job Description

The Strategy and Performance Analyst is responsible for leading the planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the company’s strategic and operational performance. The role involves coordinating the strategic development process, cascading it into company and departmental annual plans, and ensuring smooth execution across all business units. The Analyst will provide performance insights through comprehensive financial and operational analysis, aligning results with the company’s strategic objectives. The role also requires active coordination with internal and external stakeholders to enhance current strategies and support future planning.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development, review, and update of the company’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Managing Director and Executive Management.  

  • Cascade the strategic plan into annual corporate plans, departmental objectives, and individual KPIs. 

  • Provide technical support to departments and business units in preparing their annual work plans.  

  • Ensure alignment of departmental plans with the corporate strategy and vision. 

  • Develop and implement performance monitoring systems and frameworks. 

  • Track progress against strategic goals, annual plans, and KPIs at corporate, departmental, and individual levels. 

  • Support managers in the consistent application of performance evaluation tools. 

  • Identify performance gaps, propose corrective actions, and support continuous improvement. 

  • Conduct financial and performance data analysis, providing actionable insights. 

  • Prepare quarterly, bi-annual, and annual performance reports for the MD and Executive Management. 

  • Prepare Mid-Strategy Year and End of Strategy Year evaluation report. 

  • Provide timely management dashboards and performance scorecards. 

  • Generate ad hoc reports and recommendations to support decision-making. 

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure shared accountability and ownership of strategic objectives. 

  • Engage external stakeholders (partners, vendors, service providers, exhibitors, etc) to gather input for strategic refinement and collaborative initiatives. 

  • Facilitate strategic review workshops, performance review meetings, and planning sessions. 

  • Benchmark company performance against industry best practices and standards. 

  • Identify risks and opportunities affecting strategic implementation and recommend mitigations. 

  • Support change management and organizational learning initiatives. 

  • Maintain a knowledge base of trends, innovations, and developments in strategy, performance management, and reporting practices. 

Job Requirements

Education 

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, or related field (preferred). 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines (required). 

Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years in strategic planning, performance management, or corporate analysis roles. 

  • Prior experience in a consulting firm, corporate strategy office, or business performance function is highly desirable. 

  • Proven experience in financial and performance data analysis, business reporting, and KPI management. 

Technical Skills 

  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning frameworks (Balanced Scorecard, OKRs, etc.). 

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and performance measurement techniques. 

  • Excellent data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools). 

  • Strong report writing and presentation skills. 

  • Familiarity with project management tools and methods.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to see the “big picture.” 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
