Job Description
KGM is searching for a motivated Mineral Resource Management Analyst to join our team and support mine planning, resource evaluation, and long-term strategic studies. The role is responsible for building geological and economic models, conducting resource and reserve estimations, and optimizing mine designs and schedules to support informed decision-making across the business. Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
Build and maintain 3D block models using drilling, sampling, and assay data.
Support resource and reserve estimations in line with international reporting codes.
Develop and optimize open pit mine design and schedules using recognized algorithms and software.
Conduct equipment analysis, trade-off studies, and economic assessments of mining scenarios.
Prepare optimized mine production plans, including LOM schedules and scenario analysis.
Carry out financial modelling, cost estimation, and sensitivity analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
Provide technical expertise to multi-disciplinary teams on geology, mine planning, and project studies.
Assist in preparing technical reports and studies (PEA, PFS, FS) ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field.
Minimum Experience
A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in mine planning, resource modelling, or mineral resource management.
Proficiency in mine planning and geological software (e.g., Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac, Whittle, Deswik, Leapfrog Geo).
Knowledge of resource estimation techniques, block modelling, and geological databases.
Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in cost modelling and sensitivity analysis.
Familiarity with international reporting codes (JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC, or equivalent).
Excellent technical reporting and presentation skills.

Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with other team members - English proficiency will be an advantage.

Skilled in identifying and targeting specific areas for growth, setting clear goals, and creating personalized development plans.
